We are currently recruiting facilitators for our Mood Dudes Programme. Building on the success of in-school initiatives such as The Worry Box and our mental health awareness talks, Mood Dudes is an innovative outreach programme developed by The Thomas Hayes Trust to deliver vital mental health supports directly to schools and underserved communities.

Summary of the Facilitator Role
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with young people through the delivery of school workshops and programmes. It is an exciting opportunity at a pivotal stage of growth for The Thomas Hayes Trust.
Facilitators will become part of a small national panel that The Thomas Hayes Trust can draw upon to deliver workshops to secondary school students and are interested in speaking with candidates throughout the country as we continue to scale.
The ideal candidate will have clearly demonstrable experience working with young people, facilitating workshops and a strong understanding of the mental health challenges young people in Ireland face today. Previous experience delivering workshops or structured programmes is essential.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing and communication skills are required. A commitment to equality, inclusion and positive social change is a key success criterion for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery of the Mood Dudes school programme
Advising on the development of new programmes and content
Creating safe, inclusive spaces for the communities we serve and adhering to all organisational policies and safeguarding procedures
Completion of The Thomas Hayes Trust facilitator training process
Key Attributes of a Successful Facilitator
If you would like to work with The Thomas Hayes Trust, you should have:
A third-level qualification in a relevant area such as social care, youth work, education, psychology, mental health or a related field, paired with experience working directly with young people
Experience delivering and facilitating workshops and programmes
Knowledge and understanding of the issues facing young people in Ireland today.
Clearly demonstrable relationship-building and relationship management skills
A collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility, adaptability and self-motivation
As travel is a requirement of this role, a full clean driving licence and access to personal transport are required.
Contract Details
Contract Type: Independent contractor. This role will be contracted by way of a Service Contract with The Thomas Hayes Trust for the delivery of workshops throughout the academic year.
This role would suit someone who may already have another job or commitments, as it offers flexibility to take on additional workshop days when available.
Salary: Competitive Daily Contractor rates.
