Teac Tom Locations

  • Teac Tom Kilkenny

Our Kilkenny centre is located at 15 Ormonde Road, just a short walk from the city centre. This welcoming, easily accessible space has been at the heart of our support services since opening in October 2015.

From this location, we offer immediate and affordable counselling, a 24-hour support line, and a safe environment for those facing mental health challenges or affected by suicide. The Kilkenny centre is where Teac Tom began, and it remains a vital hub for the local community, providing compassionate support without waiting lists.

Visitors are always welcomed with warmth, understanding & a listening ear.

  • Teac Tom Laois

Teac Tom Laois is based in Stradbally, Co. Laois, offering the same immediate and compassionate support services that began in Kilkenny. Conveniently located in the town centre, this peaceful and private space provides a welcoming environment for individuals and families dealing with mental health challenges or the impact of suicide.

Since opening its doors in 2021, the Laois centre has become a vital extension of our mission—ensuring no one has to face their struggles alone. Services include counselling for all ages, crisis support, and a walk-in listening ear, all without the need for a GP referral or long wait times.

  • Teac Tom's Kilkenny Community Café

Located within the historic Chapter House of St. Mary's Cathedral in Kilkenny, the Cathedral Café offers a warm and welcoming space for the community.

Reopened in September 2024 after a nearly two-year closure, the café operates on weekends, with plans to expand to weekdays. Staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers, all profits support Teac Tom's vital mental health and suicide intervention services.

Whether you're seeking a peaceful spot for reflection or a friendly chat over a cuppa, the café invites you to connect & contribute to a meaningful cause.
