Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Lus na Gréine provides space for a set fee on a hourly or daily basis to organisations and community groups. This document lays out the general terms and conditions organisations are required to comply with when using this service.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all organisations and community groups (hereafter referred to as organisations) who avail of the short term rental space provided by Lus na Gréine.

3. Terms and Conditions

3.1 General

         I.            Organisations agree to pay the fees as published for use of the space

       II.            Organisations are required to have the appropriate level of insurance (i.e. public liability) for the activity/event they are using the space for, and to provide it if requested

     III.            No alterations to the appearance/layout of the hired space may be made without the prior agreement of Lus na Gréine. Damage caused by moving of furniture will be subject to an additional fee.

    IV.            Organisations must remove anything brought into the centre before leaving (unless otherwise agreed with Lus na Gréine) and ensure that rooms are undamaged

V. Organisations will be asked to pay in advance for bookings. Organisations who make repeat bookings may be offered credit terms after their initial booking.

3.2 Bookings

         I.            All spaces must be booked in advance through the website

       II.            Alterations to bookings should be made in advance by contacting the Rooms Coordinator

     III.            Terms and conditions must be agreed to before completing booking

3.3 Cancellations

Cancellations must be made by emailing lng.tht@gmail.com

         I.            Cancellations made less than 2 working days (48 hours) before the booking start time will be charged at 50% of the cost of the booking.

       II.            Cancellations made less than 1 working day (24 hours) before the booking start time or with no notice will be charged at 100% of the cost of the booking.

     III.            Cancellation charges may be waived and credited to a future booking at the discretion of management.

3.4 Health and Safety

         I.            Organisations must comply with Lus na Gréine’s Health and Safety regulations

       II.            The use of gas-supplied heaters or any naked flame is not permitted in any part of the centre

     III.            Lus na Gréine is a non-smoking centre and e-cigarettes must not be used within the centre

    IV.            Organisations must follow instructions from centre staff when required

3.5 Catering

         I.            Organisations are not permitted to bring any hot food/outside catering into the hired spaces. Damage or waste caused by non-compliance with this term will result in an additional charge.

II. In House catering can be ordered from Lus na Gréine when completing the booking or booked separately at least 48 hours before the booking date. Please note we also cannot make large scale changes to food orders made at less than 48 hours notice.

III.  In an effort to reduce food waste, we may not be able to cater for orders for under 5 people, please contact lng.tht@gmail.com if you would like to make an enquiry.

3.6 Waste

         I.            Lus na Gréine is committed to maintaining a green workplace. Waste bins are provided and labelled for recycling. Mixed waste cannot be disposed of by Lus na Gréine.

       II.            Organisations leaving mixed waste in the hired spaces will incur an additional charge.

3.7 Equipment Hire

         I.            Organisations may request the hire of listed equipment upon booking. This is subject to availability.

       II.            Organisations may request additional equipment not listed required for their booking, the charge for this can be agreed in advance if available.

     III.            Organisations hiring IT equipment are not permitted to leave data on any equipment provided by Lus na Gréine and are responsible for signing out of any accounts used.
