An Honour Beyond Words: The Thomas Hayes Trust Reflects on Being the Chosen Charity Partner of DCAC Live – Backed by MOY Materials

There are moments in the life of a charity when words feel simply too small to hold the depth of gratitude, emotion, and hope we feel. Being selected as the charity partner for DCAC Live – supported so generously by the outstanding team at MOY Materials – is one of those moments for all of us at The Thomas Hayes Trust (Teac Tom).

When this journey began, born from the heartbreak of losing Thomas and others we loved, our mission was simple: to ensure that no one facing suicidal thoughts or mental health struggles would ever feel alone again. We never could have imagined that, years later, we would be sharing a global stage alongside some of the most inspirational people from across the data centre industry and beyond. And yet, here we are – still in awe.

DCAC Live wasn’t just an event. It was a spark. A spark of connection, compassion, and collective vision. From the moment we were invited in, we felt the power of a community that doesn't just talk about change – it drives it.

To be backed by MOY Materials – not just as sponsors, but as true allies in our mission – is a gift that continues to unfold. They didn’t simply support the event; they walked alongside us with purpose. Their belief in what we do – in the lives we help save, in the conversations we’re trying to normalise, and in the healing we offer – has made a profound impact on our team, and on the people we serve.

This partnership is more than symbolic. It is the start of something real, something exciting, something deeply hopeful. We are genuinely looking forward to the opportunities that will come from this new friendship and collaboration with MOY Materials – not just in terms of fundraising, but in project developments, outreach initiatives, and powerful, tangible change that we can bring to individuals, families, and communities.

To Lisa Marie Maher, whose vision and tenacity turned DCAC Live into something unforgettable – thank you. You created a space that pulsed with energy, hope, and heart. The Button Factory was the perfect backdrop to an event that rocked not only the industry but all of us lucky enough to be there. And to the entire team behind the scenes – your support meant the world.

To Dan Thomas, Kirk Offel, David Isaac, and every speaker, sponsor, and soul who helped bring this dream to life – thank you. You’ve given us visibility, yes – but more than that, you’ve given us momentum.

We were deeply honoured to stand beside our fellow charity partners – Make-A-Wish and Scotties Little Soldiers – united in our missions of compassion. It reminded us that in different ways, we are all helping people rebuild their lives, piece by piece.

A special thank you to our own Angela Hayes, whose courage and authenticity continue to shine a light in the darkest places. Angela, your voice carries not only the story of Thomas, but the strength of every person who has ever walked through our doors in search of hope. You spoke not just for Teac Tom, but for everyone who has ever felt lost and needed a lifeline.

As we look forward, our hearts are full. This is not the end of a chapter – it’s the beginning of something extraordinary. Together with MOY Materials and the extended DCAC family, we’re ready to build something lasting. We are excited to explore new initiatives, connect with more lives in need, and develop projects that reflect the same passion and drive that filled that room last week.

From all of us at The Thomas Hayes Trust, thank you for believing in us. Thank you for helping us carry the legacy of Thomas forward. And thank you for showing us – and those we support – that even in the hardest moments, we are never truly alone.
